Objective
David Gratke, a registered investment advisor and 401K consultant, approached Savy after reading one of our creative director’s articles in the local business journal. David said our style “caught his eye” and jumped out at him while he was traveling from his Portland area business through Bend. David’s business, “David C Gratke”, was good, however he knew he wasn’t reaching the business owner he knew his 401k services and financial advice would benefit. He had been in business for years, and knew it was time to enhance his brand’s positioning to provide a stronger and more impactful appearance and messaging.
Solution
Savy worked with David to revise the positioning of his financial advice business. David traveled to Savy’s offices in downtown Bend (at his election of course, since his active lifestyle flourishes in Bend’s thriving outdoor community). Through Savy’s BrandDiscovery process, the business name was changed from David C. Gratke | The Perfect Day Advisor to Gratke Wealth | Plan Well, Retire Happy, and the brand collateral and core messaging was revised to speak to the small to medium sized business owner and reach the corporate client his existing brand had been failing to really connect with. The outcome included developing the new name and logo, redesigning the collateral including business cards, letterhead and envelope, website, portfolio jacket, custom designed, hand drawn variegated postcards and entirely new messaging and business copy.
